The lottery is a tax for people who are bad at math.

The most logical way to play the lottery is to look at a sample of previous winners and identifying the 6 (or 5) least played numbers. Logic dictates that those are the ones coming up. OR, the 6 most played numbers, where logic dictates they will play again. I think the lesson is that logic doesn’t apply when playing the lottery. Heck, I win $5 every week that I don’t play.

There is no logic to it. You have just as much of a chance of winning with all of the same numbers as oppose to picking them. Take the highest number possible for each place and multiply them all together. Those are the odds. Let’s say 6 balls, 50 is highest, (50^6)=15,625,000,000. Great odds eh? I think 50 is high but I don’t play, but it gets the point across.
